SESAME NOODLES

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Makes: 4 servings

2 each Garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons Chinese sesame paste
1 tablespoon Dark sesame oil
3 tablespoons Tamari soy sauce
2 tablespoons Rice wine
1 ½ tablespoonsRice wine vinegar
1 tablespoon Honey
½ teaspoon Chile paste
pinch Five spice powder
1 each Scallion, minced
2 tablespoons Cilantro, chopped

8 ounces Soba noodles or wheat noodles
½ ounce Mung bean sprouts
½ cup Roasted peanuts
1 each Scallion, finely sliced on the bias

  1. Puree all the sauce ingredients in a food processor until smooth.
  2. Cook the noodles until tender and drain immediately.
  3. Toss with the sauce and place on platter.  Garnish with sprouts, peanuts and scallion.
