The Chopping Block is seeking a professional chef to teach some of our popular cooking classes. Must have 3-5 years restaurant experience. Culinary degree, teaching experience and a working knowledge of ethnic cuisines a plus.

Flexible part time schedule includes nights and weekends. Humility and sense of humor required.

Class Assistant

The Chopping Block is seeking class assistants possessing a love for food and people. Culinary experience a plus; high energy and enthusiasm are a must.

Class assistant positions require evening and weekend work and a love of food. Some positions require cooking experience and uniforms.

Retail Sales Associate - Lead and FT/PT

The Chopping Block, a recreational cooking school and gourmet retail store is looking for a Lead Retail Sales Associate at our Merchandise Mart location, and Retail Sales Associates (FT and PT) and both our Lincoln Square and Merchandise Mart locations.
As the largest recreational cooking school in Chicago, offering more than 250 classes per month, and supporting  an expansive and unique line of professional cookware and gourmet retail items, we are looking for team members who bring a ‘can do' attitude to join our family.

If you think you have the perfect balance of retail experience, a passion for all things food, understand the importance of building relationships and the ability to support our mission of getting people to cook, read on.

• Attend and participate in mandatory quarterly employee meetings
  

Stocking-Receiving

Chopping Block Cooking School seeks part-time stocking/receiving people. Stocking requires lifting.
